ANAHATA was born from the realization that there was a need for more spiritually based yogic communities with a strong emphasis on balancing the mind, physical, and energy bodies through the practice of yoga, the healing vibrations of gong and crystal bowls, meditation, pranayama, and mantra.
Amarjot began her journey in Kundalini Yoga in 2007 after falling wildly in love with the practice! Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan, had a profound impact on her life by relieving anxiety and opening her heart to the beauty surrounding her. She is a KRI Level 2 Certified Teacher as well as a ERYT-500 through Yoga Alliance.
With a desire to deepen both her practice and knowledge of this powerful technology and ancient teachings, Amarjot has entered the KRI Level 3 course of study in Kundalini Yoga and Meditation, as taught by Yogi Bhajan. Presently an associate trainer in the Aquarian Academy, Amarjot serves on the training team to share these vast technologies in ANAHATA's KRI Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training Programs.
In 2013 Alchemy Crystal Singing Bowls were introduced into her consciousness and quickly became a new passion. The high vibration frequency and healing capabilities of the crystal alchemy bowls were a perfect addition to her Kundalini Yoga practice and classes. Amarjot began studying with sound healing professionals around the country with a clear intention to utilize this technology, uplift and transform herself and others in her community!
Anahata Yoga Sound and Energy Healing is Phoenix’s only Crystal Bowl Temple with over 170 Crystal Alchemy Singing Bowls.

"Modern science is now in agreement with what the ancient mystics have told us that everything is in a state of vibration, from the electrons moving around the nucleus of an atom, to planets and distant galaxies moving around stars. As they're creating movement, they are creating vibration, and this vibration can be perceived of as sound. So everything is creating a sound, including the sofa that we're sitting on, or this table, or our bodies. Every organ, every bone, every tissue, every system of the body is creating a sound."
"When we are in a state of health, we're like an extraordinary orchestra that's playing a wonderful symphony of the self. But what happens if the second violin player loses her sheet music? She begins to play out of tune, and pretty soon the entire string section sounds bad. Pretty soon, in fact, the entire orchestra is off. This is a metaphor for disease." - Jonathan Goldman

Rich was a loved and valued member of the ANAHATA Yoga community and will always be remembered for his warm and compassionate heart, his sensitivity, his kindness, and his strong desire to heal himself so he could shine radiantly for others.
Rich "showed up" out of the blue and dropped himself right into our Community Aquarian Sadhana one early morning at 4:00am. He had no idea what to expect, what the chants were, how to tackle the yoga, but he had a true devotion to spirit which was clear and evident form the start. After the 2 hour long spiritual practice he could not stop exclaiming how deeply profound the experience had been. He came back, over and over, sometimes twice a day.
I believe that Rich had the gift to experience everything on such a profound level. A wide open Cancerian heart, a true sensitivity and awareness, and a strong desire to always experience more, more, more.
He was courageous, talented, had an eye for beauty in nature, a connection to the divine within and all around him, the capacity to feel deeply and love deeply and to EXPRESS it.
On this evening of celebration, we will practice some short and sweet yoga, breathing techniques and meditate on his favorite mantras. Those mantras that moved him so deeply they allowed his soul to fully reveal itself in his physical body.
Rich, you will be missed in our community, and especially in my classes where I could count on you losing yourself in the sound current, and chanting from the depths of your heart and soul with that huge smile on your face. You saw the good in everything and everybody my friend. AKAL. Amarjot
