Meditation

This class is taught by:

Margy (Priti Bhajan Kaur) Krause

Margy (Priti Bhajan Kaur) Krause took her first Kundalini Yoga class in 2015 and knew immediately that she had found something unique. This is a practice that yokes the physical, mental and spiritual being and though she had been deeply involved in dance, various forms of yoga and different types of martial arts she found that this practice was the first that she not only wanted to dive deeply into to learn more about it for herself…but she wanted to find out as much as she could about the practice so that she could share it with others. She completed her Teacher Training through ANAHATA Yoga, Sound and Energy Healing Studio.

She believes that the practice of Kundalini Yoga can help those who wish to make a change to honor themselves and by doing so can be a part of a world that honors the value and the beauty of the old as well as the young. To be a part of a world that values intelligence, life and health.

Margy graduated from Iowa State University with a Bachelor of Science. She and her husband have lived in Arizona for over 30 years and raised their three, now grown and out on their own, sons. For the past 16 years she has worked with her husband at their architectural firm in Phoenix.

Jessica (Siri Puran) Phillips

Hello my name is Jessica Phillips, with a background heavily saturated in ballet I feel grateful for the body awareness my life’s devotion has given me till now. Recently retired from my first career being a ballerina, I am now teaching ballet and kundalini yoga and studying wholistic nutrition. The tools kundalini yoga and meditation have given me have been so profound and now essential to my well-being, I feel very inspired to share and teach these gems. To be still and know yourself, trust yourself and listen to yourself in this wild world we live in is the biggest gift I have given myself and in turn to others by sharing my real self. So I’m here to join you in this journey and be a witness to your truest expression. I look forward to seeing you.

KRI certified through Sevak Singh at Anahata 2016.

Through a variety of kundalini meditations, experience and gain tools to relieve stress and channel inner peace, clarity, balance, and harmony.

Through activating/balancing the glandular system, nervous system, changing the blood/brain chemistry, and strengthening the circulatory system, we are able to bring ourselves into a state of physical, mental, and spiritual wellbeing.

Using a combination of breathwork (pranayam), mantra (chanting), hand-locks (mudras) and deep relaxation (savasana) to bring about changes within.

Expect each class to vary as there are hundreds of meditations available, each having a specific outcome. Meditations range in length (3,11,22 or 31 minutes) followed by relaxation.

Durations and affects:

3 minutes: Affects your circulation, blood chemistry and stability of the blood. The increased blood circulations begins, distributing enhanced neuroendocrine secretions throughout the body.

7 minutes: Brain patterns start to shift from the static of beta waves, to calmer alpha waves and ultimately to deep relaxing delta waves. Simultaneously, the magnetic force surrounding the body increases in strength.

11 minutes: The pituitary gland, glandular system and the nerves start to learn and change. The sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems begin to accommodate the increased energy.

22 minutes: Anxiety producing thoughts in the subconscious begin to clear. Your three minds (negative, positive, and neutral) start to work together so your mental integration changes. 22 is the infinite number of longing and gives mastery of the mental realm.

31 minutes: Affects your whole mind and your aura. Endocrinological balance is achieved, as is balance of the chakra’s of the ethereal body. This balance persists throughout the day, and is reflected by changes in moods and behavior.
